Chichester Priory 10K – Sunday 7th October

The seventeenth running of the Chichester 10K road race was run on a gloriously warm Sunday morning. For the first time it incorporated the UK & AAA 10K championships as well as the Inter County & Area Matches.
Amongst the field of 1071 were some quality athletes, with the first ten running under 30 minutes, & sixty nine breaking 33 minutes. Simon McMorran represented WWRR, running in his first race for two months following minor surgery. Simon ran consistently throughout on the single circuit course which takes in the north of the town and goes into the country. He was reasonably pleased with his time of 37 mins & 55 secs for 189th place overall. In the 40-49 age group he came home 20th out of 201.
