Lordshill 10 Mile Road Race – Sunday 4th November 2007.

Unlike the previous week this event was blessed with ideal running conditions.

The flattish one lap course took in the countryside around Southampton, and was further enhanced by being almost traffic free. Amongst the smaller than usual field of 166 were Ian Jolliffe, recovered from his recent fell running exploits, and Simon McMorran, fresh from the Great south Run. Both returned pleased with their respective performances, with Simon home in 18th place in a time of 62.31, and Ian following him home in 37th place in 70.20, also giving him 4th V60.

The next HRRL races are the Gosport half marathon on November 25th, and the Victory 5 in Portsmouth on December 3rd, the latter of which is ideal pre-Christmas preparation for Stubbington.
