Stubbington 10K

Nine West Wight Road Runners travelled to Stubbington for the annual post-Christmas 10k League race.

Simon McMorran led the Men's team home in 37.55 which gave him 60th position, and was closely followed by Andrew McEwen in 38.47 in 74th position. Ian Jolliffe just pipped Gareth Knight at the post finishing in 42.01 with Gareth on 42.07. This gave the Men's team 5th league place on the day. Paul Scivier and Eric Critchison both ran well to finish in 45.08 and 51.03 respectively.

Three ladies took part, which made up a Ladies' team. Madeline Goodman was home first in 51.05 which gave her 1st Lady Vet 60, and 587th position. Anne Ballingall ran very strongly, to finish in 53.52, as did Claire Critchison, in her first ever 10k race, which she completed in a very good time of 1.00.32
