Ian Jolliffe was the sole WRRR representative at the IW Cross-Country Championships, held over Ryde Harriers' course, other members having developed an allergy to mud. The course was in prime condition with standing water in places as well as the usual mud. Ian finished 9th of
14 in the men's race, sneaking under the hour in 59.51, some 14 minutes behind Paul Cameron at the front of the race. With Pete Young taking a day off, Ian managed to come home first V60.
