With injuries still affecting several of the regulars, it was a small group that represented West Wight Road Runners at the Victory 5. The men were able to field a full team and ran well. Andrew McEwan led them home in 31.30, followed by Gareth Knight in 33.38, Ian Jolliffe (35.22) and Brian Amy (42.12), with Andrew, Gareth and Brian all improving their times compared to same distance at Overton two weeks earlier.
As at Overton, Chris Amy was the only lady representing the club, and she ran brilliantly to finish 3rd in her age group in 41.07. Also running, though not yet a club member, was Sarah Knight who finished in a creditable 53.45 in her first attempt at the distance.
Congratulations to Paul Scivier who completed the West Wight Triathlon in 101st position in a time of 2Hrs 29 mins and 37 seconds. This is the culmination of dedicated training over a number of weeks.
