Hi all WWRRs, the new Club Championship has started!

The List Of Races should have been compiled and posted to you sooner. I apologise for the delay.
But there is still plenty of time to enter races, and participate!
There are several NEW FEATURES this year -
the aim is to make the Championship less about Speed, and more Fun, and relevant to a Wider range of runners within the club!
The Details are:
- there are more races in the Championship this year
- Points, between 1 to 5, will be awarded to a runner for each race they enter
- 5 points to the runner with the fastest time (or best predicted time in the Club XC run)
- All the races a runner enters will count towards their Total, plus any bonus points
- There will be separate Totals for Men and Ladies
- Bonus points will be awarded when a runner has completed a race (or several races) and meets certain criteria (see below)
Each bonus is worth 10 points. The types of bonus, and how to achieve them, are as follows:
- run on All 3 Terrains
- run 4 or more Distances
- run the IOW Road Marathon
- a Streak of 4 races in a row
- complete 2 or more Races in a Series*
- win an Age Category - 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place*
*the bonuses marked with an asterisk can be gained multiple times during the year!
Notes on how to gain Bonus points
- Terrains bonus: complete races on 3 different Terrains: Road, Off road and Multi-terrain
- Distance bonus: complete any 4 distances in the List, eg a 5K, 10K, 10 miles, and 13.1 miles.
- The 'Streak' bonus is for running any 4 consecutive races from the List
- The 'Series' bonus can be gained during the Easter Runs, Festival of Running, and Fell Runs
- the 'Age Category' Bonus - is gained if you achieve position 1, 2 or 3 in your Age Category
- (as listed in the official results of a race, for example on the Ryde Harriers website)
